[Chine] Chine: dépistage massif à Tianjin après la découvertes de deux cas Omicron

La mégalopole portuaire de Tianjin, à l’est de Pékin, a lancé ce dimanche une campagne de dépistage Covid auprès de ses 14 millions d’habitants. Une vingtaine d’infections ont été rapportées depuis samedi, dont deux cas Omicron. Les autorités ne veulent rien laisser au hasard, la ville se trouve à 30 minutes en train de la capitale chinoise qui attend les JO.

[Japon] Okinawa eyeing pre-emergency measures to halt Omicron variant

NAHA–Okinawa Governor Denny Tamaki said he is considering asking the central government to declare pre-emergency measures to stem the latest surge in novel coronavirus infections in the prefecture. Tamaki told a news conference on Jan. 4 that he believes the sixth wave of COVID-19 has already hit Okinawa Prefecture.

[Japon] Validity of Japan’s border measures against foreigners in question as families separated

TOKYO — Following the emergence of the coronavirus’s omicron variant, Japan has enforced border control measures which in principle ban new entries by foreign nationals. Now, people separated from their families are calling on the government to attend to cases on humanitarian grounds while also taking thorough safety measures to prevent infection.
