[Thaïlande] Thai businesses to offer COVID shots to wealthy and companies

Private hospitals and drugmakers in Thailand are seeking approval from the government to import several COVID-19 vaccines independently to meet demand from wealthy Thais and companies that want to receive their choice of shots as quickly as possible.

Under the government’s vaccination program that kicked off March 1, only two vaccines, made by China’s Sinovac and the U.K.’s AstraZeneca, will be distributed through public hospital networks free of charge. Private businesses now want to offer fast-track inoculations for those who are willing to pay.

La Chine va déployer des certificats de santé pour les voyageurs internationaux, qui indiqueront le statut vaccinal d’une personne ou les résultats de tests récents pour faciliter la circulation sûre et ordonnée du personnel, a annoncé le 7 mars Wang Yi conseiller d’État et ministre des Affaires étrangères chinois.

Japan company’s design can yield at least one more dose from every vial

TOKYO — Japanese medical equipment maker Terumo in the next 12 months plans to make 20 million syringes that can pull one or two extra doses out of each Pfizer vaccine vial, Nikkei has learned, with the company intent on beginning mass production by the end of this month.
