The Vietnamese Ministry of Health has authorized the use of the Russian Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine in the country, official government information website announced on Friday.
It was reported that at the same time, the Ministry of Health has approved the use of the US vaccine Moderna in Vietnam. So far, the only vaccine approved by the Ministry of Health of Vietnam for use on the territory of the country was AstraZeneca.

The government confirmed it will lift the COVID-19 state of emergency early for six prefectures, but the four Tokyo-area prefectures will have to wait until the March 7 deadline.
“We will lift the state of emergency for six prefectures as of Feb. 28,” Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said at a government task force meeting on the evening of Feb. 26.
